Denver Day Out

Today Bex and I drove down to Denver for the SIA Snow Show. It was huge! The convention centre was filled with hundreds of companies all showing their 2012 gear. It was definitely an amazing place to be if your into snowboarding. Afterwards we went shopping at Cherry Creek Mall then drove around exploring the streets of Denver.

Still snowing

It's been very snowy the past few days, Breckenridge got another 7 inches(18 cm) overnight. We had hoped to ride the pipe today but it was filled with knee deep powder. Instead we went free riding until a huge whiteout came in then we called it a day.

Here is some Go Pro footage from our pow day earlier this week.

2ft of fresh @ Breck!!

Today we awoke to find out Breck had received two feet of snow in the past 24 hours. Woo hoo!! We got ready, jumped in the car and headed up the hill as quickly as possible. I was riding with fellow Trigger Bros team rider Jarryd Williams and Buller local Jack Rockman. It was one of the best powder days I've ever had, except for the hundreds of other people all eager to get their own fresh tracks. We took a 20 minute hike to escape the crowds and it definitely paid off, some of my best pow turns ever.

Shaun White @ Breck

Another fun day of riding today at Breck. The pipe has been in great shape lately, if only the clouds would stay away then it would be perfect. Shaun White was out and about shredding the park with Robbie Walker. Hopefully I'll get to see him taking some runs through the pipe.

Shaun & I. I need to work on my Smizing (smiling with my eyes)

Woodward

I dropped by Woodward at Copper Mountain yesterday with Paula Mitchell. The place is a kids paradise and pretty amazing set up. Unfortunately foam and trampolines aren't always safe, this is where Paula did her knee.

Bruised

I bruised my hip the other day. I don't bruise easily so I was pretty happy with this one. On a serious injury note, my housemate and dear friend Paula has done her ACL. I'm devastated for her, injuries really really suck! You can check out her website here http://paulamitchellsnowboarder.com/home Apparently she is going to be blogging everyday now with her new found free time.
